Kevin Arick, CHMM, CDGP Named Vice-Chair of the Certified Dangerous Goods Professional Scheme Committee

EnSafe’s Kevin Arick, CHMM, CDGP has recently been named vice-chair of the Certified Dangerous Goods Professional (CDGP)Scheme Committee, which administers the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM) CDGP credential. The CDGP certification verifies an individual’s global expertise in the safe, secure, and compliant transportation of dangerous goods under international regulations published by the United Nations, International Maritime Organization, International Civil Aviation Organization, and International Air Transport Association. Kevin is one of approximately 130 CDGP-certified individuals worldwide, and EnSafe could not be prouder to have him on our team.

Kevin’s leadership role on the Scheme Committee is significant, as the committee is specifically responsible for developing the certification examination and recommendations and maintenance of the standards for CDGP certification and re-recertification. The standards for the CDGP credential are stringent, ensuring that a CDGP is a true expert in the transport of goods and materials deemed hazardous.

Kevin has been a hazardous material expert for over 27 years, including 9 years of work in the hazardous waste management industry prior to joining EnSafe.  Since joining EnSafe 18 years ago, Kevin has helped make hazardous materials transportation compliance one of EnSafe’s core competencies. As EnSafe’s subject-area lead in HazMat Transportation, Kevin provides consulting and training to our clients to meet compliance with the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT), the International Air Transport Association (IATA), and the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) regulations.
