As EnSafe continues to expand its footprint across the country, we’re excited to introduce one of the key leaders helping drive that momentum—our new Cincinnati Business Lead, Kenton Hall. In this Q&A, Kenton shares insights into his professional journey, what brought him to EnSafe, his vision for the Cincinnati office, and his advice for those looking to grow within the company.
Kenton's expertise includes air permitting, stormwater management, pollution prevention, and the management of hazardous materials and hazardous waste. He’s also delivered training for both clients and peers on topics such as stormwater compliance, pollution prevention strategies, state-specific air permit regulations, and RCRA hazardous waste identification and handling.
Let’s get to know Kenton, and learn more about what’s ahead for EnSafe in Cincinnati.
Q: Can you share a bit about your professional journey and what led you to EnSafe?
After I graduated college, I started my consulting career as an Ecologist in Lexington, Kentucky. Eventually, I moved to the Cincinnati area and made the switch to focus more on Environmental Compliance and Permitting. Along the way, I went back to school for my graduate degree, got experience managing projects, and had the chance to work with a lot of talented professionals.
Q: What’s your current role at EnSafe?
I’m the Business Lead for the Cincinnati office.
Q: What made you decide to join EnSafe?
EnSafe gave me a unique opportunity to grow, especially in areas like office management and business development while still staying involved in interesting technical projects. Taking on the Business Lead role here in Cincinnati has really helped expand my knowledge and experience.
Q: What are your top priorities as you step into this leadership role?
Right now, I’m focused on networking and getting the word out about EnSafe’s services to local businesses and organizations. Building that local presence and increasing brand recognition is a big priority.
Q: How do you see the Cincinnati office growing over time?
One win at a time. That’s how we’re going to do it—by building a strong team with a diverse set of skills so we can take on all kinds of local opportunities.
Q: What do you think sets EnSafe apart from other consulting firms?
The fact that EnSafe is an ESOP (employee-owned) company really sets it apart. It creates a different kind of culture, one where everyone has a stake in the success of the company.
