EnSafe to Present at Texas Healthcare Facilities Management Event

Leo Old, EnSafe Senior Health & Safety Project Manager, will present at Interlink 2017, the annual conference of the Texas Association of Healthcare Facilities Management (TAHFM) at the Westin Houston, Memorial City, scheduled for March 26-29.

Old’s presentation, titled “Maintaining Pressure Relationships:  Who, What, When, Where, Why,” will address the challenges hospitals face with regard to maintaining adequate airflow and pressure relationships in critical areas, as required by Joint Commission standards.  Inadequate conditions can contribute to poor patient outcomes.

“My discussion will help attendees better understand key requirements, the consequences of upset pressure conditions, and practical solutions to common problems,” states Old.  He will also discuss how to plan for periodic testing of mechanical systems:  know the questions you want answered, know how to interpret results, and develop a sampling/testing plan that all parties agree on.

Interlink 2017 focuses on examining the unique opportunities and challenges faced in the healthcare facility management industry.  Attendees discuss emerging issues and best practices with colleagues, vendors, and consultants across a broad spectrum of health care issues.
