EnSafe's New Principals
EnSafe has promoted Amy Spann, PE, CHMM, and Tom Deck to Principal, honoring their strong track record in client service, project leadership, and industry engagement. Their promotions reflect the important roles they play in strengthening EnSafe’s ability to deliver sustainable solutions, drive long-term growth, and support the communities we serve. EnSafe President and CEO Don Bradford shared his excitement, stating, “EnSafe’s growth is measured not only in numbers, but in the leadership we cultivate. Elevating Associate Principals to the role of Principal reflects the collaboration, vision, and commitment that will move EnSafe forward — and with Amy and Tom stepping into elevated roles, our best days lie ahead.”

Principal, Amy Spann, PE, CHMM
Amy began her career at EnSafe as an environmental engineer and has been instrumental to the success of both our Nashville office and our Compliance Group. A graduate of the University of Tennessee with a degree in Environmental Engineering, Amy is a respected compliance specialist known for helping clients navigate complex regulatory challenges with clarity and confidence. She has also demonstrated strong industry leadership as President of ACEC Tennessee and currently serves on the Tennessee Air Pollution Control Board. Amy’s expertise, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to excellence make her an invaluable leader and trusted partner to both clients and colleagues.

Principal, Tom Deck
Tom began his career at EnSafe in 2014 as an Environmental Scientist supporting projects under our Navy Comprehensive Long-Term Environmental Action (CLEAN) contract. Over the years, he has advanced into roles including Project Manager, Supervisor, Business Lead, and Client Manager, providing strong leadership across multiple operational groups at EnSafe. A graduate of Florida State University with a degree in Environmental Chemistry, Tom’s dedication, technical expertise, and leadership continue to make him an invaluable member of the EnSafe team.

EnSafe also recognizes six professionals promoted to Associate Principal: Adam Wanta, PG, Alex Stark, PE, Geoff Pope, PE, Scott Nye, Jim Madden, PG, LEED AP, CEM, and Sabrina Smith. Their advancement reflects not only their professional achievements but also their commitment to collaboration, mentorship, and strengthening the future of EnSafe’s employee-owned firm. Representing both technical and administrative disciplines, these six EnSafers have upheld EnSafe’s core values through their steady leadership and professional excellence.

Associate Principal, Adam Wanta, PG
Adam began his career at EnSafe over 14 years ago, bringing a strong technical foundation in environmental investigation and remediation. Throughout his tenure, he has advanced into key roles, including Business Lead for our Pensacola office, providing leadership and technical oversight across a wide range of projects. Adam’s experience spans project management, release response, environmental sampling, vapor intrusion, environmental site assessments, UST compliance, and soil and groundwater investigation and remediation. His extensive hands-on field experience and commitment to delivering safe, high-quality results have been instrumental to EnSafe’s success.

Associate Principal, Alex Stark, PE
Alex brings over 17 years of experience to EnSafe, where she has played a key role in numerous significant environmental remediation projects. Her expertise spans project management, regulatory compliance, remedial design, remedial operations and maintenance, field investigations, reporting, and litigation support. Known for her leadership, technical skill, and collaborative approach, Alex is a trusted professional who consistently delivers high-quality results and advances EnSafe’s mission of providing creative, custom solutions for our clients.

Associate Principal, Geoff Pope, PE
Geoff, EnSafe’s Compliance Director, leverages more than 25 years of environmental engineering experience to guide clients through complex regulatory requirements with practical, results-driven solutions. As the firm’s Subject Area Lead for SPCC, NPDES, and wastewater projects, Geoff directs a diverse portfolio of compliance programs, overseeing permitting, auditing, and reporting while ensuring alignment with state and federal regulations. His strategic insight, depth of technical knowledge, and steady leadership have been central to strengthening EnSafe’s reputation as an industry leader in environmental compliance.

Associate Principal, Scott Nye
Scott, EnSafe’s Vice President of Contracts and Risk Management, is a dynamic senior business strategist, operations leader, and trusted advisor known for delivering high-quality results and driving organizational success. With a proven ability to lead teams and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization, Scott ensures EnSafe’s contracting and risk management programs align seamlessly with corporate objectives and client expectations. A proud U.S. Air Force Veteran, Scott’s leadership, discipline, and commitment to excellence continue to strengthen EnSafe’s foundation for sustainable growth and long-term success.

Associate Principal, Jim Madden, PG, LEED AP, CEM
As EnSafe’s Business Lead for West Coast Operations, Jim Madden is a Professional Geologist, Environmental Manager, and LEED Accredited Professional with extensive experience overseeing complex environmental projects. He specializes in site remediation, subsurface and geologic investigations, environmental assessments, and health and safety compliance. Jim’s strategic leadership and technical acumen have established his reputation for delivering efficient, high-quality solutions for both government and commercial clients.

Associate Principal, Sabrina Smith
As EnSafe’s Vice President of Human Resources, Sabrina Smith brings years of experience leading the company’s HR initiatives and supporting its continued growth. She provides strategic direction in talent development, employee engagement, and organizational culture, ensuring EnSafe attracts, retains, and empowers top talent. Under her leadership, EnSafe has grown and strengthened its ability to support employees, drive performance, and achieve strategic goals.
