Property Management GIS Application for Real Estate Developer

EnSafe developed an informative website that a real estate developer's clients use to identify properties that meet their needs. Although real estate is driven by location, many property management systems rely on traditional tabular databases instead of location-aware spatial databases. The same can be said for demographic data.

While most demographics reports present a simple table of 3-, 5-, and 10-mile aggregated values, through EnSafe’s web application, the developer provides clients spatial data maps so they can see through the averages to the raw data blocks. This web-based, Geographic Information System (GIS) application helps the client, one of the South’s largest commercial and industrial real estate developers, identify new properties with a better understanding of a region’s key performance indicators.

By integrating next-generation, web-mapping technology into its website, the developer provides clients a way to virtually tour properties through the internet. As users identify properties of interest, they can find out more by simply hovering over the property location icons.

Potential clients can "preview" a property or click on a number of links for more information or to view printable property reports or even contact the developer about their interest. A “bird’s-eye view” feature is available for many locations that changes the aerial photography from top-down to oblique perspectives.
