Integrated Natural Resource Management Planning Support for Navy Base

EnSafe supports Naval Support Activity (NSA) Mid-South’s commitment to strong stewardship of its natural resources by providing technical support for the installation’s Integrated Natural Resource Management Plan (INRMP). The INRMP is designed to ensure the installation’s management, protection, and encouragement of natural resources while sustaining force readiness and meeting its military mission.

EnSafe’s support includes a variety of completed projects ranging from wetland/floodplain development/protection; forest, fish, and wildlife management; and urban forestry management to developing an outdoor recreational plan that is integrated with base master plan.   Most recently EnSafe completed the five-year INRMP review and update, recommending 10 new projects for implementation in the next five years.

EnSafe developed a multidisciplinary technical team by partnering with specialists from a local university, internal staff, NSA Mid-South personnel, and other stakeholders to support the installation’s commitment in reaching its natural resource management goals. Proactive environmental conservation and management remain a vital component of the installation’s mission and as a demonstration of its commitment to a strong stewardship ethic.
