Environmental Due Diligence / Permit Assistance

EnSafe provided environmental due-diligence services for an asphalt and emulsions manufacturing client that had entered into a three-year lease agreement with an option to purchase 21 operating facilities. The scope included conducting Baseline Environmental Site Assessments (BESA; combined Phase I and II ESAs).

Prior to performing the due-diligence activities, EnSafe transferred existing regulatory permits and applied for new permits within 30 days of the client entering into the lease agreement. EnSafe’s long-time association with the client’s business facilitated integration of its corporate environmental, health, and safety requirements with those in place at each operating facility, documented in regulatory compliance calendars.

EnSafe developed project-specific pre-site-visit interview questionnaires, sampling and analysis plans, and BESA report format, and created Microsoft SharePoint project collaboration portals for the client, its attorneys, and existing property owner representatives.

Work was performed in Arkansas, California, Georgia, Kansas, Nevada, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah.

To facilitate the time-critical deal established in the client’s lease agreement, EnSafe used client familiarity, due-diligence expertise, and nationwide coverage to meet internal and regulatory deadlines. The client realized significant savings because EnSafe was able to supply environmental professionals capable of conducting consecutive Phase I and II ESA site visits.
