Don Bradford

Don has extensive experience in regulatory compliance, due-diligence assessments, merger and acquisition support services, corporate audit programs, soil and groundwater investigations, and environmental training courses. He led EnSafe's compliance services and due-diligence practice areas, providing regulatory consultation, interpreting complex regulatory issues, and fulfilling environmental permitting requirements for government and private-sectors clients. He joined EnSafe in 1996 and was appointed CEO in 2013.

Phil Coop, CHMM

Phil is a master's level certified hazardous materials manager who coordinates EnSafe's technical and scientific efforts. He's a charter member of the Hazardous Material Control Institute and has managed numerous courses in hazardous materials and environmental projects. Phil's environmental management career began in 1978 and he co-founded EnSafe in 1980.
James Speakman

James Speakman, PE

During his distinguished 28-year career at EnSafe, Jim directed numerous engineering and environmental projects involving multidisciplinary teams for industrial clients and Department of Defense agencies nationwide and overseas. A former U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officer, he was program manager for a 13-year Navy contract under which EnSafe provided award-winning services for Installation Restoration and other environmental programs at Navy and Marine Corps activities. He continues to provide engineering support for projects requiring his unique expertise.
Paul Stoddard

Paul has extensive experience in geologic/hydrogeologic processes supporting complete project and technical management, which include consultation, investigation, and remediation construction management. He joined EnSafe in 1987.
Ginny Davis

Ginny's focus is senior regulatory support, negotiations, and innovative, cost-effective approaches to investigation, remediation and environmental problem-solving. Additionally, Ginny leads business development efforts for EnSafe. She joined EnSafe in 1987.
Bry Roberson

Bry is an environmental, health, and safety consultant with broad and diverse experience. He has managed numerous environmental, health & safety projects of various types in both the U.S. and abroad. His specialties include environmental auditing/regulatory compliance, Clean Air Act compliance, site investigations, industrial hygiene, and regulatory liaison. He joined EnSafe in 1990.

Mike Wood

VP, Chief Financial Officer

Mike oversees all EnSafe administrative functions and provides support on projects with financial analysis components. He has audited underground storage tank reimbursement applications and consulted regarding compliance with Securities and Exchange Commission environmental disclosure regulations. He is EnSafe's Chief Financial Officer, joining the firm in 1991.
Brian Derry

Brian is a professional engineer who specializes in air quality, regulatory compliance, process safety management, and information technology solutions. Brian has hands-on project experience with refineries and ancillary facilities, chemical plants, and manufacturing operations. He joined EnSafe in 1993.

Jeff James

Jeff James, PE

Jeff is a senior civil engineer with specialized expertise in practical, cost-effective, and often innovative wastewater remedy solutions. He has led award-winning engineering projects, including the remediation of perchlorate contamination at Naval Weapons Industrial Reserve Plant in McGregor Texas. His environmental experience centers on bringing solutions to clients’ difficult remediation projects. Jeff joined EnSafe in 1997.
Mike Palmer

Mike Palmer, CSP, CIH

Mike provides oversight for a variety of EnSafe’s H&S projects, with specific emphasis on Process Safety Management, machine guarding, LOTO, risk assessment, accident investigation, safety management, and confined spaces. Mike serves on several H&S professional organization committees and boards, is published in professional journals, and regularly provides expert witness testimony and OSHA regulator liaison consultation. Mike was appointed in 2021 and serves as a Commissioner on the TN OSHA Review Commission. Mike joined EnSafe in 2007 as the selling founder of PSC H&S services and joined EnSafe as the VP of Health and Safety Services.
Daryl Hernandez

Daryl Hernandez, PE, QSD

Daryl is a senior environmental engineer with nearly three decades of experience managing site assessment and remediation projects for municipalities, industrial and federal clients in Southern California. As a recognized Brownfields practitioner and EnSafe’s National Brownfields practice lead, he has served on the technical panel of the National Brownfields Conference for several years. Daryl is located in our San Diego, CA office. He joined EnSafe in 2002.
Dave Warren

David is a senior project manager and geologist specializing in large scale, complex assessment and remediation services for commercial and government clients across the Southeast. He is the business lead for EnSafe's Charleston, South Carolina office. Dave joined EnSafe in 2006.

Bridget Morello, PE

Bridget is a recognized remedial expert, having directed over 200 complex environmental projects subject to intense public and regulatory scrutiny for a variety of private/industrial clients nationwide. She joined EnSafe in 2021 when her firm, Progressive Engineering & Construction, Inc. was acquired by EnSafe.
Jay Spence

Jay’s environmental career has included working for a regulatory agency, in industry, and the last 24 years with EnSafe providing consulting services in the areas of industrial and hazardous waste, petroleum management facilities and operations, and industrial wastewater and storm water management practices. His expertise includes conducting industrial and hazardous waste compliance evaluations, property assessments, and remediation. Jay also serves as Director of Client Relations within EnSafe’s business development group. Jay joined EnSafe in 1995.
Michelle Smith

Michelle Smith

Michelle is EnSafe’s Director of Finance and Project Controls, responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations of EnSafe’s accounting systems, management of the accounting staff/department, and interaction with all divisions and branch offices within EnSafe’s corporate structure. Michelle has successfully managed several accounting software conversions and implementations resulting from EnSafe’s growth and acquisitions. She joined EnSafe in 1991.
Amy Spann

An environmental engineer and regulatory compliance specialist, Amy has developed a reputation among our clients and colleagues for consulting excellence. She has conducted hundreds of multimedia audits, and is the EnSafe service area lead for compliance auditing. Amy has served as President of the Tennessee Chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) and currently serves as the engineering representative on the Tennessee Air Pollution Control Board. Amy joined EnSafe in 1998.
Shaun Winter

Shaun is a senior project manager/geologist who specializes in contaminant assessment, karst hydrogeology, remedial design, and overall client management. He has managed two projects that won awards in the ACEC of Tennessee’s Engineering Excellence competition — 2003 Grand Iris Award for a karst investigation using innovative, non-invasive techniques and the 2008 Grand Environmental award for the “recycling” of a Brownfields property. He joined EnSafe in 1996.

Derek is EnSafe's Corporate Sustainability Officer and Training Coordinator, driving both our commitment to sustainable business practices and continuous learning opportunities. Derek is a senior project manager who specializes in environmental and occupational safety regulatory compliance. He manages a wide range of environmental, health, and safety projects including multimedia compliance auditing, environmental due diligence, industrial hygiene, and environmental management systems (ISO 14000). He joined EnSafe in 1991.

Tom is an award-winning senior engineer specializing in water/wastewater facilities design and treatability studies, municipal solid waste landfill design, and asbestos program management. His innovative designs have earned him a Grand Iris Award in the 2002 American Council of Engineering Companies of Tennessee’s Engineering Excellence competition. He joined EnSafe in 1981.

Ric is a licensed professional geologist and senior account manager, specializing in the petroleum/underground storage tank market vertical. Joining EnSafe in 2001, his unique expertise includes assessment of karst hydrogeologic terrains, vapor intrusion, soil and groundwater remediation; environmental due diligence and Brownfields. Ric is EnSafe's corporate Quality Manager, driving our Think Things Through (T3) and Opportunity for Improvement (OFI) programs, both key components to EnSafe's continuous focus on quality.

Tom specializes in managing site investigations, risk assessments, and remedial design and implementation for groundwater, surface water, soils, sediments, and macroinvertebrates under CERCLA/RCRA regulatory programs. He has extensive knowledge of regulatory programs and has assisted in the management of projects requiring residential and industrial cleanup within the Navy Installation Restoration and Superfund Programs. Tom joined EnSafe in 2016.

Joe is a Certified Industrial Hygienist/Safety Specialist and serves as EnSafe’s primary trainer for Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response courses. Joe assists companies in conducting industrial hygiene surveys, OSHA compliance audits, health and safety training, safety audits, job hazard assessments, heat stress assessments, and indoor air quality assessments. He joined EnSafe in 2010.

Chris is a licensed professional engineer and specializes in civil engineering and environmental remediation, with projects involving site civil, environmental remediation and restoration, stormwater management and control, and public infrastructure. His experience includes industrial redevelopment, hydrology and hydraulic studies, stream controls, bank stabilization, and brownfields redevelopment. Chris joined EnSafe in 2018.
