EnSafe Wins Work with Kansas City Corps

January 22, 2010 -- EnSafe Inc. has been awarded a five-year, $8.33 million environmental services contract with the Kansas City District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

The contract’s scope covers both environmental compliance and remediation services. The contract’s geography covers nationwide support of Kansas City District’s Environmental Compliance/Environmental Quality Program at Army installations, Army Reserve Regional Readiness Commands, and Headquarters elements, and major commands as well as the National Guard Bureau and state agencies.

 

Environmental work under the contract will involve hazardous, toxic, and radioactive waste program areas along with a full range of military installation support and civil works activities within the Corps’ environmental pillars of compliance, conservation, restoration, and pollution prevention. Supporting activities include onsite support in various environmental programs, as well as conducting studies and investigations; industrial hygiene and health and safety activities; engineering; and real estate activities.

 

EnSafe named two small-business teaming partners in its proposal — McLean, Va.-based Mangi Environmental Group Inc. and Tuscaloosa, Ala.-based Panamerican Consultants Inc. — to provide additional support for natural and cultural resources assignments, respectively.

 

James A. Rathbone Jr. of EnSafe’s Cincinnati, Ohio, office will serve as program manager.
