Tennessee Public Works Conference Slated

Registration is open for the Tennessee Chapter, American Public Works Association’s 2010 Conference and Equipment Show. The event is scheduled Oct. 22-26 in Nashville, Tennessee. In addition to the educational sessions aimed at public works employees, an awards banquet and a golf tournament will be featured, among other activities.

The conference event will feature technical sessions on storm water management; water / sewer; transportation, street maintenance, and construction; building and facility maintenance; fleet maintenance; solid waste; and other public works activities.

The Tennessee Stormwater Association will be meeting during the conference. This association brings together Tennessee municipalities that are required to develop more progressive storm water programs to comply with state and federal regulations.

The conference and equipment show will be held at the Doubletree Hotel at 315 Fourth Avenue North in Nashville.
