Derek Shadoan, CHMM, branch manager of EnSafe Inc.’s Bowling Green, Kentucky, office, recently was elected chairman of the South Central Kentucky Section of the American Society of Safety Engineers. ASSE, founded in 1911, is the oldest and largest professional safety organization. Its 32,000+ members manage, supervise, and consult on safety, health, and environmental issues in industry, insurance, government and education.

Mr. Shadoan is an environmental, safety, and health specialist with 17 years’ experience in consulting. He received his B.S. in Biology in 1991 from Western Kentucky University. A Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, he earned an M.B.A. from Western Kentucky in 2004.
